It's been A LONG LONG time since I wore a colorful look.  I just find that for every day wear, bright colors is not practical for me anymore, especially for work.

Confessions of a Shoeaholic: Steve Madden Heels on an Aqua Kind Of Day

We've been having some beautiful, warmer, sunnier days in the Midwest and I'M LOVING IT!!  Since the cold, cold winter, I have not worn heels, let alone stilettos.  I honestly have to say, I feel like I don't know how to walk in them anymore.  LOL  I definitely do have to break in wearing heels again!!

For my makeup today, I used my Lorac Mint pallet on my eyes, my IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and Brow Powder, Kat Von D concealer, Bobbi Brown bronzer, Benefit Rockateur blush, and Mac Brave lipstick.

Outfit:
Neon Yellow Silver necklace from H&M
Bracelets from H&M and Forever21
White Tank from Forever21
Aqua Blazer from H&M
Jeans from H&M
Steve Madden heels from hautelook.com

close up of the heels (this pic is from a couple months ago when I first got these babies)
I just LOVE everything about these heels but really do need to break them in.

My little photographer (my son, Mitchell) wanted to take some pics of me making bubbles so here's 2 good shots from his little random shoot.

Hope everyone enjoys their night!

March Favorites

I've been wanting to do a monthly favorites on my blog since the beginning of the year but I somehow don't end up doing it due to either my busy mom schedule or I just forget.  So better late than never, here's my favorites that I've used for most of March.

1. Lorac Pro Pallet - What I love about this is that it's a great pallet for every day simple eyes and/or semi-smokey looks.  It's the easiest pallet I have where I don't have to think too hard on what I want my look to be like for the day.

2. Mac Prolong Concealer in NC20 (I think) - I didn't want to invest in this concealer so when my sister bought another one since she loves it so much, I asked her to give me a good amount to sample to see if I would like it or not too.  Surprisingly, I like it.  It's great as a highlight under my eyes.  Might have to go get it to add to my collection.

3. Zoya Nail Polish in Odette - I just love this color on my nails.  For me, I think it's a good color for the season changes.

4. Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer - Got this sample from one of my Sephora hauls since I hear a lot of people rave about it.  I like the primer a lot.  I find it that if I do the primer and foundation tricks that I learned from watching YouTube guru gossmakeupartist, it makes my foundation last a lot longer and my oily T-zone not so oily.  I will have to share his secret with you guys in a future post.

5. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Anti-Aging - I loved the original primer potion from UD but when I tried this anti-aging one, I was in more in love.  This little sample tube has lasted me a good amount of time since you don't need that much product and because I misplaced it for a while.  Glad I found it again!

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Catwalk Pallet - When I want a more shimmery look for work, I go to this pallet.  I just love the lighter shimmery shades in this pallet a lot more than other shimmery shades in other pallets that I own. The shades in this pallet is just not as shimmery as others, even though it looks like it just as shimmery.

7. Benefit Blush in Rockateur - This is hands down my favorite blush.  I wear it daily because it's just simply beautiful.  It gives me a nice flush of color and I was told by a coworker that she likes it when I wear blush because I look more alive.  haha

There you go.  My first post on my monthly favorites.  Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them.

Have a good Friday night!

Lorac Mint Edition Pallet

After owning the Lorac Pro pallet for the past couple months, I wanted to try some more eye shadows and/or pallets of theirs and eventually branch into the rest of their products.

This is the recent pallet that I purchased off www.hautelook.com.  Lorac's Mint Edition pallet.  I am IN LOVE with this pallet!!  I love the cute packaging of this pallet, even though the Lorac name tag is not centered correctly.  lol

Here are the matte shades from lightest to darkest.
(Sorry the light matte brown doesn't show up that great on my arm.)
The lightest matte shade has glittery flecks in it so makes me wonder why they categorized it as matte and this is the shade that is chalky.

The two shades on the left are the highlighter and blush.  I have not worn neither one yet.
Then we have the shimmery shades from lightest to darkest.

All the shades has the same smoothness and creamy texture as the shadows in the Pro pallet.  Some of the colors do have some chalkiness to it and a bit of fall outs (like the lightest matte shade) but it's ok, I can still work with it.

This is the "lipstick" that comes with the pallet.  It's their Exclusive Couture Shine Liquid Lipstick in Retro.
I like the shade of this "lipstick" since it's a nude pink color but it has the stickiness of most lip glosses, which I do not like.  Not sure why they called this a lipstick either.

Hope this post makes you want to branch out into the Lorac brand more.

Good night ladies.

Pangie

Happy New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!!  I hope everyone had a great time celebrating.  I sure did with my little fam and some friends.

Any new year resolutions for anyone this year?  As for me, I made no new year resolutions this year.  I just want my family and friends to have a happy and healthy life this year, that's all.  Besides, that I find that when I make new year resolutions, they're always broken by the end of January anyways and it seems to always be the same resolution: lose some weight!  lol  I will no longer be making that a resolution of mine but just take it as I need to be healthy for my kids.

Anyways, on to the post!

I've been wanting the Lorac Pro pallet for quite some time but with the price, I didn't want to get it either.  I kept on debating until I saw Ulta having this awesome deal for the holidays so I took advantage and got it... 3 in fact.  haha

But with the Lorac Rockin' Red Hot Pro Set, you get the Pro pallet, a mini eye primer and a liquid liner.  I think it's a great deal, especially at only $39 compared to the pallet being sold alone at $42.

I love that this pallet has 8 matte colors and 8 shimmery colors that work so well with each other.  I have been using the pallet often and have been mixing the mattes with the shimmers to create great every day looks to more dramatic looks.  Every color is just simply beautiful.

The only downfall this pallet has is that some of the shimmery shades are a bit chalky feeling and powdery.  You just have to make sure you pat the product on instead of swiping it on due to the fall out you'll get.

But other than that, this is one of the best pallets I own and am glad I have it in my collection.

The matte shades are:
white, cream, taupe, light pink, mauve, sable, espresso, black

The shimmer shades are:
nude, champagne, gold, light bronze, pewter, garnet, deep purple, slate

I've been using the eye primer since I got this and can I say, I LOVE it?!  It doesn't make any shadows crease or smudge off.  The liner is a must have also.  I absolutely love this liner since it doesn't smudge or crease on me as well.  It just stays put all day, which is a must in my book with my awesome Asian.  haha

With that being said, I hope that if you are debating whether or not to add this pallet to your collection, you just go for it and add it.  It will be a great investment.
