Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Anti Wrinkle Brightening Kit Review

Hey ladies!!  I'm back today with a skincare review on a product I've been using the past month.

I bought this at Sephora after I had a little mishap with the Ole Henriksen's The Whole Truth Vitamin C Kit making my skin drier and a little more irritated than usual.

I must say, I LOVE this kit more than the Whole Truth Kit.  It didn't dry out my skin at all!  And smells a lot better than the other kit as well.  The only thing that sucks about this kit is that it's a limited edition so I got to go get myself a back up set ASAP!

You can buy this Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Anti Wrinkle Brightening Kit online at www.sephora.com and/or go in store and buy as well.
Retails at $88.00

You can read more in depth of what the claims of the product are and what the ingredients are by clicking this link http://www.sephora.com/camu-camu-power-c-x-30-anti-wrinkle-brightening-kit-P382755?skuId=1542455

Included in the kit:
1 oz Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Mask
1 oz Vitamin C Brightening Serum
1 oz Vitamin C Brightening Moisturizer
0.5 oz CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Complexion Corrector

Pros:
Can see results after a full day's use.  (My face looked brighter than it did before I used this.)
Has a nice citrus scent that's not too strong and over the top.
Helped my dry skin within a couple day's worth of usuage.
The CC cream is AMAZING on my skin.  (by far, the best CC cream I have tried)
Each product doesn't feel too oily or greasy on.

Cons:
The CC cream color isn't identified on the package since they failed to add that to the bottle so you just gotta pray and hope that the kit you picked has your shade. (I lucked out and got the medium/tan shade that matches me)
No eye cream that goes with the kit :(
It's PRICEY!! (and even pricey-er sold separately)

I don't have a lot of bad things to say about this product since I think this is a GREAT product.
I'm glad the sales girl in Sephora helped me when I was in the store and sold me on buying this product.

Here are the prices for each individual item sold:
Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Mask $68
Vitamin C Brightening Serum $85
Vitamin C Brightening Moisturizer $72
CC Cream $48 (comes in shades light/medium, medium/tan, and deep)

I would have to say that even if the kit is limited edition, I would still go purchase each product separately since it worked great with my skin.

Hope this helps you with some skincare questions you may have.  And I hope that for you ladies that are still in search for a good skincare, you will try this product out.

Last Min Gift Ideas for Her & Him

Hey ladies!!  It's been a busy month for me after Thanksgiving.  Work has been crazy busy, along with the household stuff... that includes the crap load of snow and ice we've gotten for the month so far.  Boo.  Makes for crazy busy days and nights for me.

Anyways... as you all know, Christmas is only a week away!!

Here are some of my last min gift ideas.

For her:

The Too Faced Jingle All the Way pallet $25
The coolest part of this pallet is that the case that holds the eyeshadows and cheek products is an actual iPhone 5 case that you can use, well that's if you own the iPhone 5.

I have this and let me tell you, if you have issues with eye liner not working the best for you (like I do) and you want to try different products for a reasonable price...this is it!!

Lorac Rockin' Red Hot Pro Set $39 ONLY AVAILABLE AT ULTA
sorry no link for this product since it's no longer available
I have this too and this is what I bought for both my younger sisters for Christmas
(I can talk about this now since both of them have their sets)
I love this set because, not only do you get the Pro pallet but their eye liner and eye primer.
All three for $39 is GREAT, especially when the pallet alone is $42!

I will do a mini review on how I like all 3 products soon.

You can also get for her:
-her favorite perfume or a collection of her favorite brand
-something from her favorite skincare line
-jewerly (but this is a typical gift from a man to his girl)

For him:
I won't show pics for this since every man has his own taste and his girl should know what he likes.  But I will give you some ideas to work with.

-a watch
-his favorite sports team, favorite player's jersey
-cologne
-a giftcard to his favorite sporting goods store (so he can go get all the fishing gear, hunting gear, or whatever gear he wants without you having to bitch at him for spending too much money all at once)

Hope this helps everyone out a bit.
Enjoy your day!  And if you're anywhere where's it's cold as heck, stay warm!!

My team at work

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving of spending time with loved ones and getting fat with them.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Smokey Purple

I hate feeling fine at home and then getting to work and feeling kinda crappy.
I feel like my nose is all stuffy and I've been sneezing like crazy all morning... must be allergic to work or something.  LOL  No I blame the cold weather we're having today.

Wanted to share my makeup look today with you guys since I hardly ever wear any colored eye shawdows anymore.

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!!

Battle It Out: Drugstore brand Volumizing Waterproof Mascara

Hey ladies!!  It's been forever and a day since I blogged.  Unforunately, I had to create a new blog since my old one was giving me trouble with not even letting me edit a post.  I guess it is what it is.

To start things off, I thought I'd battle out my two favorite drugstore brand waterproof volumizing mascaras.  (I am not one to like regular mascara at all since my straight Asian lashes don't stay curled)

In the first corner, the one I've been using for years, Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof Mascara.

Pros:
Holds the curls in my lashes great
Gives me great looking lashes after 2 coats
I feel it gives my lashes a little more length as well
Doesn't pick up too much product

Cons:
The brush is too big (mainly for my lower lashes)
A pain in the butt to get off at the end of the day (I still find I get a little "racoon" eyed in the mornings)

In the second corner, Maybelline Falsies Waterproof Mascara.

Pros:
Holds the curls in my lashes
Looks good after 2 coats
Easier to take off at the end of the day

Cons:
Too much product comes out with the brush after the first couple uses
I don't know how I feel about the curled wand (pro & con)

Overall, I love the Lashblast more so than the Falsies but I wouldn't mind having both still in my makeup collection.  I say give both a try regardless what type of lashes you have to see which you prefer.

Oh and what I have been doing lately is putting on one coat of the Falsies and then a coat of Lashblast on top.  Makes my lashes look better, in my opinion.

Hope this was helpful to everyone.  Til the next time, I hope you all have a great weekend!!
